It has been said and studied that the number of times to tweet per day is now far higher than what was originally said. Tweeting around 3-5 Tweets a day seems to be the sweet spot, however we have seen much more than that.
USE A SCHEDULING TOOL
Different people view your profile at different times, and it’s perfectly acceptable to Tweet your content multiple times with different captions to optimise the amount of traffic driven to your pages from Twitter. Using a scheduling tool such as Hootsuite, Buffer or SproutSocial which can be used to create a automatic posting schedule.
There is a rule of thumb when using hashtags. Since Facebook has stopped using them and making them searchable, it’s known that Tweets with hashtags receive up to twice as much engagement in comparison to regular tweets that do not include hashtags. Using at least 2-3 hashtags per tweet is okay.
FOLLOW USERS WHO HAVE SIMILAR INTERESTS
This tactic is used on other platforms, so it’s good to use on Twitter to help get some free followers.
SYNDICATE YOUR CONTENT
Promoting your twitter account across your other social media channels by cross posting your best twitter content to encourage your existing followers on other channels to follow you on Twitter.
